Alex is a certified nurse practitioner that has been with the practice for over two years. He has worked his way up into a lead role for our nurse practitioners and brings many useful skills to our clinic. He started his career in healthcare a few years into college, becoming a paramedic/firefighter in East Texas, where he is from. The medical side of his career called him into nursing for which he moved to Austin to begin his schooling. He spent most of his nursing career in the Intensive Care Unit but floated all over the hospital. To offer more to his patients other than bedside nursing, he pursued his masters for Nurse Practitioner and holds his certification through AANP. When asked about why he chose urology, he answers that, “Urology has so much to offer and keeps me on my toes. One second, I am speaking to somebody about erections, next patient will be kidney stones, and then the next one is prostate/kidney cancer. The patients are amazing and appreciative of my personality. I just feel like we jive well.” In his free time, he likes to spend time with his kids, cook, go see movies, workout, and play golf.
