Get Ahead of The Curve

Peyronie’s Disease is the unnatural curvature of the penis when erect. Adult men with Peyronie’s will have at least a 30-degree curvature. This isn’t just painful; it can also detract from your sex life. While there are several factors that can cause Peyronie’s Disease like micro-trauma or a bad sexual experience, it essentially is caused by the build-up of collagen or soft tissue in the penis. This collagen is what causes the penis to curve. Injections of Xiaflex contain an enzyme that when used in conjunction with specific exercises, helps straighten the penis.

How Does Xiaflex Work?

Xiaflex is a simple, non-surgical treatment that generally consists of two injections. First, you’ll come in for a consultation and if we determine you’re a good candidate for Xiaflex we’ll set up an appointment to start treatment.

One round of treatment consists of two injections, scheduled about a week apart. At your visit we inject the Xiaflex into the area of your penis that has the most curvature. Start to finish, each appointment will take about 15 minutes or so.

From here, we’ll send you home with some exercises to help straighten your penis. It’s recommended that patients do these exercises three times a day for six weeks after a treatment cycle. To avoid any negative side effects, you’ll also want to wait to have any sexual activity until your doctor gives you the green light.

Responsiveness to treatment varies from patient to patient, but most of the time patients will only need one treatment cycle. In some cases, you might need another treatment cycle but we typically won’t perform more than four rounds of treatment.
