A Celebrated Collaboration: Austin Urology Institute and St. David’s HealthCare/HCA

Austin Urology Institute has a close partnership working with St. David’s Medical Center/HCA. It is the preferred hospital system that we use, providing advanced, comprehensive care when in need of post surgical admissions, acute needs for ER visits, and the doctors there providing care.

Dr. Shaw at Austin Urology Institute endorses the quality of care at St. David’s so much that he formerly served as the Chief of Staff at St. David’s North Austin Medical Center, providing leadership and guidance to the medical staff and promoting effective communication between the medical staff and administration.

With more than 119 sites across Central Texas, St. David’s HealthCare includes seven of Austin’s leading hospitals and is one of the largest health systems in Texas. Additionally, it has been recognized with a Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award—the nation’s highest presidential honor for performance excellence.

St. David’s HealthCare also gives back to the community, supporting two local non-profits: St. David’s Foundation and Georgetown Health Foundation. The hospital funds those foundations. Since the beginning of St. David’s HealthCare in 1996, more than $269 million have been given back to the community to improve health and healthcare in Central Texas.
