Robotic Surgery for Kidney Cancer

October 24, 2012

Dr. Koushik Shaw was proud to be one a handful of surgeons from around the US to attend a surgical workshop at the University of California-San Diego, at the “Center for the Future of Surgery”.  Here we discussed, and used the latest techniques to use hemostatic agents, which are used to decrease bleeding that occurs during these complex cases.  Dr. Shaw is proud to use da Vinci Robotic surgery to remove cancerous lesions from the kidney with the latest minimally invasive techniques.  Most patients are able to leave the hospital within 48hours with 4 small incisions no wider than a finger-breadth, and minimal pain.  For more information, visit our website
