Happy June Guys!
It’s Men’s Health Month! The American Urological Association and the Urology Care Foundation have challenged men to commit to making healthy choices that are not only great for their overall health, but especially for their urologic health!
Austin Urology Institute is accepting the challenge. Join us!
This month, there are four weekly “Get Up and Go” challenges to improve your urologic health. Each week, we will post a blog with your weekly challenge. Here’s your challenge for week two.
Get Up and Go Challenge, Week 2: Get up and Eat a Healthy Meal!
Your challenge this week is to commit to long term healthy eating. Eating a diet rich in natural fibers from fruits, vegetables, legumes, whole grains and fatty fish have shown promise in reducing testicular and prostate cancer risk. It also helps with testosterone production and erectile dysfunction.
A healthy diet not only improves your urologic health, but your overall health as well. Any change begins with one decision: make the choice to eat a healthy meal and start your journey to a healthier lifestyle.
At Austin Urology Institute, we focus on how the whole picture of an individual’s health may contribute to urologic conditions or help prevent them. In addition to our medical providers, we also offer in house personal nutrition consults.
If you are interested in scheduling a consultation with our nutritionist and learning more about how healthy eating can help improve your urologic health, contact us at 512.694.8888. We can create an individualized nutrition plan tailored to your needs, keeping in mind personal preferences and budget.
